Meet Dr. Hitesh (Tesh) Patel
A personal commitment to his patient's quality of life.
Dr. Tesh Patel started Pearly Dental Care 25 years ago and has been providing his patients with quality general and cosmetic dentistry care ever since. Recently, Dr. Tesh Patel was named one of America's Best Dentists for 2016 based on evidence of superior training, experience, continuing education and commitment to excellence.
Over the years as a leading dentist in and around Naperville, Illinois, Dr. Patel started seeing patients with neck, jaw or head pain that wasn't always caused by an ailing tooth or could be helped by any traditional dental proceedure.
With a curiousity to understand his patients pain and issues better, he began a secondary career in facial pain and sleep disorders, learning that the discomfort of living with sleep apnea or chronic pain caused by misalignments in the head and neck is very real, but often very misunderstood. Indeed, the pain his own wife experienced, and her inability to find lasting relief from medication, inspired him to continue his studies and find an effective course of treatment where others had failed. Read their story here.
It is this intense drive to find the right solution for each and every patient, coupled with his ability to really listen, that people who know and have been helped by Dr. Patel’s most appreciate.
Dr. Patel continues to care for his dental patients but has also grown his other practice, Advanced Centers for Sleep Disorders and Facial Pain. He shares one of these Advanced Centers clinic locations with Pearly Dental.
Dr. Patel's Approach to Facial Pain and Sleep Disorders
Clinically, Dr. Patel's focus is on the relief of snoring, mild to moderate sleep apnea, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction Syndrome (TMJ), chronic pain and neuromuscular problems using conservative, holistically oriented methods. He seeks the most advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques available and uses non-invasive and non-surgical approaches. His expertise is in objectively documenting cranial dysfunction and correlating it with patients’ problems that may appear elsewhere. Because he uses appliances to correct misalignments that cause discomfort, he works closely with each patient’s physician to help them feel their very best.
